BHU Placement 2024: As many as 181 total offers were received by the 165 students of the Institute of Management Studies (BHU). While the average package is Rs 11.1 lakh, the highest offer received is Rs 23.5 lakh per annum.
Dr Ashutosh Mohan, the placement coordinator at the faculty of management studies – Banaras Hindu University, said: “Students from MBA, MBA international business, and MBA agribusiness earned successful placements, with an incredible average package of 11.1 lakhs among the 181 offers received by 165 students, establishing a new benchmark for the forthcoming year.”
The recruitment featured a line-up of over 65 companies including Infosys, Genpact, Cognizant, Mahindra Finance, Adani Wilmar, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicle, Reliance Retail, Federal Bank, IDBI Bank, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, ICICI Bank, Digit General Insurance, Visa Steel, Bajaj Asset Management, UNIQLO, Amul, and Escorts Kubota.
Professor HP Mathur – dean and head, chairman of corporate affairs and placement at FMS-BHU, expressed gratitude for recruiters’ steadfast trust. The institute has been organizing several initiatives including personality development programs, corporate engagements, summer training, simulated aptitude tests, group discussions and personalized mock interviews at the university on an ongoing basis to enhance the student’s employability and prepare them to embark on rewarding careers, an official statement said.
About 36 percent of the students were offered the executive and management trainee role with various sub-profiles including MT – sales and marketing, MT – finance, MT – business excellence, MT – strategy and projects, MT – alliance and electronic payments and MT – retail operations.
Around 21 percent of the students secured associate, and senior consultant roles followed by 13 percent with assistant and deputy manager roles.
A large number of roles in the consultation and analytics field were offered by IT organizations like Cognizant, Infosys, Genpact, Veear Analytics, Hexaware Technologies, Acxiom Consulting, MRCC Group, and Loyalty Juggernaut. Firms like South Indian Bank, Bandhan Bank, Jana Bank, SBI Life, ICICI Pru AMC, and UTI Mutual Funds offered lucrative positions to students across domains such as marketing, finance, operations, and HR in the BFSI sector.
In the agribusiness arena, the DCM Shriram Farm Solutions recruited several MBA (Agribusiness) students, along with several students earning pre-placement offers.
