Bihar Board Results 2024: The number of students shifting from CBSE to BSEB has been continuously increasing by nearly 20,000 since 2018.Bihar Board 12th Result 2024, BSEB Inter Result: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) last year revealed that the Patna Board has been attracting students from other states and boards for the past few years.As per the data made available by Bihar Board last year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), a national education board, is the board from where majority of the students are shifting to BSEB. The data reveals that the board has been attracting students from CBSE since 2018.The number of students shifting from CBSE to BSEB has been continuously increasing by nearly 20,000 since 2018.The number increased from 47421 in 2018 to 69460 in 2019 and then jumped to 87086 in 2020. During the pandemic, the number increased drastically to 100438 in 2021. This, the board claims is because of the changes brought in by the board in the past few years, which is more similar to the pattern of competitive exams.Another reason might be the board’s online enrollment system. However, once the Covid pandemic was over and the schools were back to offline classes, the number of students shifting from CBSE to BSEB fell to 95204 in 2022. It is not just CBSE, but students from other boards too are switching the Bihar Board in Class 11 or 12. As per the data, 12123 students from CISCE and other state boards shifted to Bihar for Inter exams in 2018. The number drastically increased to 16537 in 2019 and 20267 in 2020.While the inflow of students from CISCE and other state boards slowed down in 2021 (20878 students), this too saw a decline to 18006 students in 2022. The reason behind this may also have been that schools across the country shifted back to offline classes in 2022, after facing several Covid induced lockdowns in 2020 and 2021.
