Candidates face technical glitch in TSPSC exam

HYDERABAD: Over 200 students who appeared for the civil service exam conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) on Sunday could not complete the exam on time due to a technical glitch. However, they were given extra time.According to sources, at Sri Datta Engineering College in Sherguda in Ranga Reddy district, which is one of the centres, 200 candidates out of 2000 could not start their computers. TSPSC officials immediately transferred the students to the nearest exam centre and students were given extra time to finish their exam. However, furious over TSPSC's delay in the process, many students and parents protested outside the centre soon after the exam.

A total of 30,783 candidates had applied for 931 assistant executive engineer posts. However, the online examination held by the TSPSC at 99 centres across the state witnessed only 76.34% attendance. The TSPSC had appointed as many as 6,600 invigilators and 250 observers in all the centres.
