CAT 2017 registrations to end in 3 days at iimcat.ac.in

The online registrations for the Common Admission Test 2017 (CAT 2017) will conclude in three days i.e. September 20 at 5 pm.

The CAT 2017 will be held on Sunday, November 26 in two sessions at 140 test centres across the country. This year, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow will be conducting the CAT exam.

How to apply for CAT 2017:

Log on to the official website of CAT, iimcat.ac.in

Click on 'Sign in for Existing User'

Log in with your user id and password

Enter all the required details in the prescribed format

Click to submit

Educational qualification:

Those candidates who are willing to appear for the examination need to possess at least a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised institute/university

Candidates who are in their final year or are waiting for results to be declared are also eligible to apply.

Further, the IIM will also be releasing a tutorial to understand the format of the test on October 18. Candidates are advised to work on the tutorials available on the website well in advance.

Meanwhile, Professor Neeraj Dwivedi, convener, CAT 2017, said in an official release that there is no new change as of now in the examination structure. Like previous years, there will be three sections -- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. The duration of the test will be of 180 minutes.

Selection procedure:

The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round. All the selected candidates will get admission in around 20 IIM institutes established in various parts of the nation.
