CET applications go fully online

Students will no longer have to run around post offices and banks to obtain application forms for Common Entrance Tests (CETs) from the next academic year (2013-14).

The AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has decided to make the entire application process online for all CETs.

The online application system was introduced on a pilot-basis for Eamcet and PGECET in 2012, and it was a grand success.

Students, especially those from semi-urban and rural areas, had to face several hardships earlier, to purchase application forms from post offices and banks.

They had to travel long distances and had to wait in long queues. The forms used to get exhausted in no time forcing students to come again to purchase them.

Keeping this in view, the APSCHE has decided to extend the online application facility to Icet, Ecet, EdCET, Lawcet, PGLCET, PECET, Eamcet and PGECTE from this year.

The APSCHE announced the schedule for CETs on January 8 and notifications will be issued in the first week of February inviting online applications.
