CET dates out, Eamcet not on Sunday

Eamcet-2012 will be held on May 12 by JNTU-Hyderabad for the 15th time and the application process is likely to be made entirely online. Eamcet notification will be issued on February first week. Prof N.V. Ramana Rao has been appointed as Eamcet convenor for the third year.
The AP State Council of Higher Education on Saturday announced the schedule for various Common Entrance Tests for admissions to professional courses in the state for 2012-13.

The Ecet for polytechnic

courses admissions will be held on May 24, Icet for MBA/MCA courses will be held on May 18, Edcet for B.Ed courses will be held on June 8 and PGEcet for M.Tech/M.Pharm courses will be held from June 8.
However, the schedule for Lawcet for LLB/LLMadmissions, and PEcet for physical education courses admissions will be announced on January 12. This year, Eamcet is scheduled on a Saturday, since some other competitive exams by APPSC and other recruitment boards are scheduled on May 13, Sunday.

APSCHE chairman Prof.Jayaprakash Rao said that last year students were given the option to apply for Eamcet online or offline. “This year, we want to make the application process entirely online. However, we are yet to take a final decision over online application system,” Prof. Rao said.Set for CET Eamcet: May 12 Ecet: May 24 Icet: May 18 Edcet: June 8 PGEcet: June 8 onwards
