Chandarababu Naidu pitches for US-style education system in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is keen on introducing the American style of education in the state, providing the teachers with tablet computers. The CM also wants to introduce audio-visual classes, with question and answer sessions, in the government schools.

Mr. Naidu revealed all these plans in Guntur on 5th September, while participating in the Guru Pujotsavam celebration at the Police Parade Grounds. He presented Best Teacher awards to 177 teachers from thirteen districts on the occasion. He said that his government is planning to introduce "choice of education programme" from Class IX onwards. He also announced a CM fellowship programme which will promote innovations by offering Rs 2,000 to each student.
