Hyderabad, 12th January, 2015: CIMA India (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) has opened the registration for its internationally renowned annual business competition - Global Business Challenge 2015 (GBC), inviting entries from undergraduate college and university students across the country.

In 2014, more than 500 teams from 128 institutions and universities across India participated in GBC. This year too GBC is organized across 24 countries, in partnership with Barclays.

The CIMA Global Business Challenge is an international business competition designed to bring out the best in the young future business leaders and emphasizes on CIMA’s vision of developing and nurturing young talent around the world. GBC helps undergraduate students to foster better interpersonal and communications skills, by working together as a four-member team to present a business case study.

Speaking about GBC, Debasish Biswas, Country Head, CIMA India said: “The Global Business Challenge is an internationally acclaimed platform, which helps students imbibe the knowledge, skills and competency that is needed to make them future business leaders, while giving them an unique opportunity to test their analytical skills revolving around business and financial management. Last year’s GBC Global Finals that was held in Mumbai showcased the talent of 24 international student teams wherein they proved their competitive mettle. This year we will be holding the regional rounds and finals in Mumbai in June 2015. We expect to receive over 1,000 team registrations for GBC this year for the qualifying round.”

Each team consists of four members, and they must be full-time/part-time undergraduate students from a university/institution. There is no upper limit on the number of teams, which can participate from a university/institution.
