CM says it will be Rs 35000 only

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has today clarified to the Engineering college managements that the Government will stick to the decision of Rs 35000 fees only.
The Government is not in a position to give more than Rs 35000 he stated it is reported. Meanwhile the managements have suggested to the chief Minister that the fee being decided by the Government should be for this year only and there must be a chance for exceeding the same by 10 percent by next year. They wanted the chief minister to see that the Rs 35000 will be implemented only for this academic year.
But some managements who have applied to the court for the fee hike have demanded that they must be allowed to charge Rs 40000/- On the other hand there is no clarity if the management quota are decided by the Managements or will they also come under the common platform of on line counselling as being suggested by the AFRC earlier.
The managements who had a brief meeting this afternoon could not come to a conclusion over the issue and some of managements were of the opinion that they must go to the court for charging a higher fee as they are qualified for the same and the AICTE has endorsed them as good colleges.
On the other hand some Ministers along with officials are said to be sitting with the managements and suggested them not to go to the court and that the issue should be sorted out at the state level only.
