Colleges warned on category B seat admissions

Andhra Pradesh State Council Education (APSCHE) has warned private professional college managements not to admit students under management quota (category B) before the official notification is issued.

The council also warned the managements against collecting any capitation fee which is prohibited, and advised students to refrain from making any payments. The council issued this warning after it learnt about some private engineering colleges’ managements had issued notifications. Such colleges were asked to submit an explanation for taking up category B admissions. In a statement here on Wednesday, the council said these admissions have to be done in consultation with Competent Authority of the APSCHE.
