CUET UG 2023: University Grants Commission Chief M Jagadesh Kumar Monday (May 29) shared figures from Day 4 of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023. The total number of candidates scheduled was 1,49,900 and the attendance recorded was 73.33 percent.
The exam was conducted in 289 cities across the country during the first shift at 291 centres, 255 cities during the second shift at 350 centres and 433 centres across 273 cities during the third shift. During the first shift, 20,690 students were scheduled to appear for the exam, 45,989 students were scheduled to appear for the second shift and 83,221 for the third shift.
CUET UG 2023, which began on May 21, will conclude on June 8. The first two phases of exams are over and the average attendance of the two phases was 69.3 percent. The exam was conducted in 303 cities at 712 centres during the first two phases. A total of 14,88,375 were scheduled to appear for the first two phases.
After many students of Jammu and Kashmir complained that their exam centres were in neighbouring states, the National Testing Agency (NTA) postponed the exam in the union territory. The exam, which was scheduled to begin on May 21, began from May 26 onwards.
In Manipur, the exams will be held from June 5 to 8, the exams have been scheduled late due to the law and order situation in the state. Students from Manipur have the option to change their city till May 30. The NTA has released admit cards for exams till June 2. A total of 14, 99,778 candidates registered for the exam.
