CUET UG: Central University of Tamil Nadu uses CUET UG scores to admit students in all UG courses.

CUET UG 2024: The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) admits candidates to their undergraduate programmes through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Applicants can visit the official website of the university – cutn.ac.in and check the eligibility criteria, scholarships they provide and more.
Central University of Tamil Nadu draws admissions from candidates from across the country and abroad. The university uses CUET UG scores to admit students in all UG courses including IMA Economics, MSc Biotechnology, MSc Chemistry, IMSc Mathematics, IMSc Physics and Integrated MPA Music.
CUTN has 13 schools under it with 28 departments. The university offers 64 academic programmes out of which 29 are research programmes, 22 of them are specialized programmes, six are integrated programmes and two are undergraduate programmes. The university also provides multiple PG diploma programmes.

This year, the Central University of Tamil Nadu received applications from nearly 78,405 candidates for its integrated postgraduate programmes in the second edition of the entrance exam after the introduction of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in 2022.
Popular courses at CUTN
The five-year integrated programme is one of the many courses that are popular and garner many applicants at CUTN. As per data shared by the university, over 90 per cent of admission seats this year have been filled for the five-year integrated programmes. The admission process for the four-year integrated BSc, BEd programme starts on September 11.
Central University of Tamil Nadu Scholarships
The Tamil Nadu University has several scholarships for students of all categories belonging to various courses. The list of scholarships at CUTN includes OBC scholarship for students belonging to the OBC category and SC and ST scholarships for the students in SC and ST categories. These two scholarships are provided by the Tamil Nadu government.
Some post-matric scholarships for various schemes are also available for the students. Students enrolled in CUTN can avail the scholarships as given in the national scholarship portal including minority scholarship, scheduled caste, tribal scholarship, other backward caste scholarship, meritorious scholarship, single girl child scholarship, disabilities (physically challenged) scholarship, other state scholarship for the state students, INSPIRE UG and PG scholarship and other funding agency scholarships.
CUTN Hostel Facilities
The university has well-maintained hostel facilities for both boy and girl students. At present, a statement on the university website said that there are nine hostels on the campus. The hostels were initially formed as Vaigai Block (UG and PG boys hostel), Mahanadhi Block (UG and PG boys hostel), Krishna Block (UG boys hostel), Cauvery Block (UG and PG girls hostel), Godavari Block (UG and PG girls hostel), Tamirabarani Block (UG girls hostel), Ganga Block (girls research scholars hostel), Yamuna Block (boys research scholars hostel) and international students wing hostel.
Moreover, the guest house second floor has been converted into non-residential Indian / international students hostels. The university has been providing hostel accommodation to all the students admitted into various programs at nominal costs.
CUTN History
The Central University of Tamil Nadu is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 2009. The President of India is the visitor to the university.
