DU Admissions 2024: The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the first round of seat allocations for undergraduate programmes for the academic calendar 2024-25. This year, DU will be admitting candidates to 69 colleges, departments, centers on approximately 71,600 seats (excluding supernumerary). There are 1559 programmes and college combinations on which the UG admissions will be conducted.
In accordance with data provided by Delhi University, 2,45,287 candidates had applied for phase one of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS(UG)). From the recorded number, 1,85,543 applicants had completed phase two of CSAS by submitting their preferences for programme and college combinations. The total number of preferences that the DU received was 1,72,18,187.
In the press release, the University also mentioned adding a feature on the dashboard whereby students could check details of the cutoffs and ranks that determine the allocation to a seat as per the category and quota of the candidate.
The University of Delhi will release the common rank, cut-off rank, programme-specific CUET score and cut off score for all the programme to which a candidate has applied. Allocations will be based on the unique common rank, therefore, having the same score as the cut off does not guarantee admission.

The common rank is determined by applying the tie-breaking rules.” read the release of the University, adding that the ranks will not be not generated for the performance-based programmes like BA (Hons) in Music, BSc in PE, HE &S, BFA) and for certain supernumerary quotas (sports, ECA, CW and ward).
