Eamcet counselling from August 19

Web-based Eamcet engineering counselling will commence on August 19 with verification of certificates at helpline centres. The notification to this effect will be issued on Tuesday. The certificate verification will continue till August 30. Students can select their preferred colleges and courses online from August 22 to September 3.

They will be allowed to change the options, if any, on September 4. The seat allotment list will be released on September 5 and the classes for first year students will commence from September 10.

Meanwhile, the government is expected to issue revised guidelines for management quota admissions in a day or two. As per the new norms, JEE (Main) rankers will be given preference over others in the allotment of seats under management quota. The next preference will be given to Eamcet rankers followed by high-scorers in 10+2 Board exams.
