VIJAYAWADA: All arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (Eamcet) - 2011 at nearly 61 test centres in the Vijayawada Region on Sunday .

About 24,521 students are going to take the engineering exam while there are 8,229 students appearing for the medical branch. Principal of the VR Siddhartha College of Engineering K. Mohana Rao is the regional coordinator for the examination in Vijayawada region.

There are 47 centres earmarked for the engineering candidates and 14 for agriculture and medicine test. There will be 61 observers and 1638 invigilators to ensure the smooth conduct of the test in the region.

The candidates should produce their hall tickets for admission into the test centre and they should have to strictly go by the guidelines for entering the exam hall and leaving it. Candidates would not be allowed into the exam hall after 10 a.m. for engineering stream and after 2.30 p.m. for medicine test.

Candidates would not be allowed to leave the exam hall before 1 p.m. for engineering and before 5.30 p.m. for medicine. Students can contact the officers concerned for any doubts and the helpline numbers for contact are 0866-2582333/2584930.

GUNTUR: A total of 17958 candidates are appearing in the test for engineering stream and 3123 for admission to medical courses in 45 centres in Guntur.

The candidates have been advised to report at the respective centres at least an hour in advance to avoid the risk of being disallowed due to delayed attendance.

Besides, the candidates are asked to not bring anything other than their identity cards, pens and pencils and such stationery as may be required. Special squads were constituted to monitor conduct of the examination without any scope for malpractice. EAMCET Regional Coordinator A. Sudhakar, Principal of RVR&JC Engineering College, is taking care of the facilities required by candidates.

Security arrangements were made under the supervision of Superintendent of Police A. Ravichandra.
