VISAKHAPATNAM: The State-wide Education Common Entrance Test (Ed.CET) 2011 will be held at 10 cities and towns under Andhra University jurisdiction on Saturday.

The test would be held in 80 centres in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Bobbili, Visakhapatnam, Tuni, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Amalapuram, Eluru and Bhimavaram in different methodology subjects. As many as 37,017 candidates have registered for the test, Regional Coordinator of Ed.CET 2011 and Dean (student affairs) of Andhra University Nimma Venkata Rao informed on Friday.

Chief Superintendents of examination centres have been advised to allow a candidate to write the test in a methodology subject other than the one indicated in his or her hall ticket after taking an undertaking from the candidate to that effect, Prof. Venkata Rao said.

The test would be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
