Errors in maths paper confuse SSC students

The minor printing mistakes in the mathematics paper-II of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination conducted on Monday created confusion among the students and teachers. In Part A, the question No. 19 was written as ‘Show that Cos teta/1 minus Sin teta plus Cos eta/1 plus Sin teta equal to four'. The question should have read as solve instead of show. This question carries four marks. Similarly, in Part B, the question No. 22 had a mistake. In match the following question, ‘Sin square 30 minus Cos square 60', the answer should be zero, but there was no mention or printing of zero in the question. They have given the answer as one by two. This question carries half mark.

After noticing the mistakes, the students informed the same to the invigilators. The chief superintendents and the invigilators told the students to write the answer accordingly and assured that the education department would correct the same and add the marks.
