GATE 2027 Registration:
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is concluding the regular registration window for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 today, October 5. Candidates interested in taking the test must submit their GATE application forms before this deadline to avoid incurring a late fee. An extended registration window that includes a late fee will be available until October 12, 2026, during which applicants will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 500 for each paper registered.The deadline for regular registration was previously extended to October 5 in response to requests from prospective candidates. GATE 2027 is open to candidates currently studying in the third year or higher of any undergraduate degree program, as well as those who have already completed their graduation or post-graduation in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, or arts. There is no age limit to appear for the test.
The examination will feature 30 test papers—including the newly introduced Robotics and Automation (RA) paper—and scores will be utilized for admissions into postgraduate and doctoral programs (M.Tech, Ph.D.) across premier institutes, alongside recruitment drives by prominent Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
