The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati declared the results of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 on March 16 on the official website, the link for which is gate.iitg.ac.in . CCMT 2018 schedule for counselling based GATE 2018 results have been released on the official website, the link for which is ccmt.nic.in
As per the schedule, the registration process for the Centralised Counselling for Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Architecture (March), Master of Planning (MPlan) and Master of Design (MDes) admissions (CCMT) 2018 will begin from April 3.
Candidates seeking admissions to National Institutes of Technologies (NITs), IIITM Gwalior, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur, IIITDM Kancheepuram, IIIT Vadodara, SLIET Longowal, NIFFT Ranchi, SPA Vijayawada, PEC Chandigarh, IIIT Allahabad, Central University of Rajasthan, University of Hyderabad, Central University of South Bihar Patna, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra and IIEST Shibpur must register and pay application fee on or before May 8, 2018, as reported by News18.
SEAT ALLOTMENT:
Seat allotment is based on the merit list and availability of seat as per filled choices
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of GATE score
Further, to determine inter-se-merit of candidates having same GATE score, following criterion will be used:
Those having GATE score in 2016 will be given preference over candidates having score of 2017, or 2018
Those having GATE score in 2017 will be given preference over candidates having score of 2018
If the year of GATE score is same, then preference will be given to that candidate who has obtained higher GATE marks out of 100.

WHEN WAS GATE CONDUCTED?
The examination was conducted for 23 subjects on February 3 and 4 and February 10 and 11.
VALIDITY OF GATE 2018 SCORECARD:
GATE score is valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science.
GATE is administered jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (namely, IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur,Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee).
