The Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2018 will be conducted on May 8 (Physics and Chemistry) and 9 (Mathematics) 2018 by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa. It is a state-level entrance examination exam which is conducted, every year in the month of May, for admission into the private and government medical and engineering colleges located in Goa state.
Students can get admission into Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Homeopathy, Nursing, Architecture and other professional courses by clearing the same.
Paper pattern:
Each paper shall consist of 75 questions of one mark each, to be answered in two hours, with no negative marking.
The GCET is a computer based examination. All the candidates will be tested on the following subjects:
Physics: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Optics, Electromagnetic Waves, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems, Atoms and Nuclei etc.
Chemistry: Solid State, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Coordination Compounds, Aldehydes, Ketones And Carboxylic Acids, Bio-molecules etc.
Biology: Reproduction, Genetics And Evolution, Iii Biology And Human Welfare, Iv Biotechnology And Its Applications and among others.
Mathematics: Algebra, Calculus, Linear Programming, Probability etc.
Admission into MBBS, BDS and Degree in Architecture courses will be through NEET and NATA 2018
