AICTE GPAT 2018 registration to begin from October 20

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will be conducting the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT-2018) for giving admission to candidates seeking admission into the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) programme on January 20, 2018.

As per the schedule, the registration process will begin on October 20.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

All the candidates interested in applying need to possess a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a recognised institute/university.

Those in their final year of Bachelor of Pharmacy programme are also eligible to apply.

Further, the applicant must be a citizen of India.

How to apply:

All the candidates need to apply online through the prescribed format only.

Examination fee:

Candidates from the general category need to pay Rs 1400 whereas applicants from reserved category need to pay Rs 700.

Examination schedule:

The total duration of the test is of three hours

The test comprises of a total of 125 questions of four marks each

For any incorrect answer, negative marking will be done 

For each correct answer there are 4 marks.

Test cities:

GPAT is conducted in various cities across India.

About the exam:

A total of 841 institutes will participate with nearly 24,096 seats are on offer. Further, every year, about 30,000 candidates appear for the AICTE GPAT.

Admit cards: Third week of January 2018

Declaration of results: Second week of February
