Group-II exams today

State adamant t on exam schedule Collectors are strug gling to find invigila tors and exam staff For the first time t t APPSC will provide duplicate OMR answer sheet to candidates after the exam.
The APPSC Group-II services recruitment exams will begin on Saturday across the state.

Ignoring demands by the Telangana Joint Action Committee and T-leaders of all political parties for postponement of the exams, the state government has decided to go ahead with it as scheduled on October 15 and 16.

The government has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exams in the
wake of threats by Tactivists. It has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the exams to respective district collectors and district superintendents of police.

The exams have been giving anxious moments to the officials and the candidates in the T-region. In the absence of public transport due to the APSRTC strike, the candidates are worried that they might not be able to reach the exam centres on time.

The Rail Roko called by TJAC has further compounded their worries.
While a total of 4,52,669 candidates have registered for the exams throughout the state, conducting the exam smoothly in 434 cen tres across T-region for 2,23,779 candidates will pose a challenge to the government and the police department.

The collectors are also struggling to find invigilators and exam staff since the government employees are on strike. They have engaged a large number of private employees and teachers for the purpose.

For the first time, the APPSC will provide duplicate OMR answer sheet to candidates immediately after the exam ends as part of ensuring transparency in the exam process.
