High Court Okays Group-I Interviews

Posted On: 02/01/2012 Updated On:

A division bench comprising Justices Goda Raghuram and G. Krishna Mohan Reddy of the AP High Court on Monday allowed the APPSC to go ahead with the interviews for Group-I posts as per the schedule announced earlier.

The bench was dealing with a lunch motion by the APPSC challenging an interim order given by the AP Administrative Tribunal that granted a stay on interviews scheduled to be held from January 4 for Group-I posts. The tribunal granted the interim order on a plea by several aspirants who complained of certain variations between the Telugu and English versions of the written examinations.Advocate-general A.Sudarshan Reddy, who appearing for the commission, submitted before the HC that the aspirants’ allegations were false. He said the commission had issued instructions to the evaluators after it had noticed the variations in the translations, and the answer scripts were evaluated accordingly. The bench said that the interviews can go on, but ordered not to issue appointment letters till the final verdict on the petitions pending before the APAT.
