ICFAI varsity to offer B. Tech programmes

The ICFAI University will offer B. Tech programmes in five courses on ICFAI University campus, located at Shankerpally, on Hyderabad city outskirts. The courses will start from this academic year, said territorial manager Subash Chandrabose.
Speaking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said the deemed university will provide four-year full time B. Tech programmes in Civil, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical, and Electronics branches.

Students who scored 70 percent aggregate marks in both tenth class and Intermediate in English medium are eligible for admission into the courses. The applicants are required to attend the entrance test in IIT-JEE, AIEE or EAMCET-2011 for securing admissions, he said.

Corporate Communications Department manager Y. Sreenivasa Rao said ICFAI has tie-up with about 800 companies. The institute will incorporate field visits and practical classes within the syllabus.
