IIT Delhi launches certificate programme on Design Thinking and Innovation

IIT Delhi certificate course on Design Thinking and Innovation will begin on December 28 (Express Archive/ File)

The Continuing Education Programme (CEP), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is inviting applications for the sixth certificate programme in Design Thinking and Innovation. Interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website— iitd.emeritus.org till September 13.

IIT Delhi Online Course: Duration

The 20-week long course will begin on December 28. It will be an online course with over 150 recorded video lectures, more than 15 assignments, 10 plus short quizzes, two weekly office hours with faculty, three live webinars and one capstone project.

IIT Delhi Online Course: Fees

The fees for the course is Rs 1 lakh + GST.

The programme is curated for designers and design engineers, creative managers, art directors and UX designers, entrepreneurs, innovation and growth consultants, product managers, marketing managers, branding managers, growth managers, R and D managers, rural entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises and professionals.

IIT Delhi Online Course: Eligibility

In order to apply, candidates should have a graduate degree (10+2+3) or have a diploma (10+2+3) from a recognised university in any discipline. They should have a minimum of 50 per cent marks and minimum one year of work experience. 

The programme have 14 modules— Introduction to human-centred design (HCD); HCD and innovation; context, environment and users; identifying user needs, ideation and immersion; storytelling and visualisation; iterative design and sustainability; MVP and NPD; agile design and data-driven innovation; integrating design, technology and business; innovation project lifecycle and innovation management tools; innovation strategies and taking ideas to market; designing for change and design for leading.

Candidates will be awarded with a completion certificate from IIT Delhi on scoring at least 60 per cent marks in all evaluation components and completion of capstone project. Participants securing less than 60 per cent or unable to complete the project will only receive a participation
