IIT Hyderabad launches online repository of research archives

The Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, (IITH) launched its Research Archives of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (RAIITH) (http://eprints.iith.ac.in) at a meeting of IIT Library professionals.

This repository contains all the scholarly content authored by the academic community of the IITH. The IIT Hyderabad Library team works with departments, individual faculty, and students to select, submit and preserve digital material, according to a release here on Friday.

Members of the academic community are invited to contribute their ‘intellectual output for long-term preservation and worldwide electronic accessibility’.“I would like to congratulate Team Library for setting up this institutional repository named RAIITH. This institutional repository aims to host the research output of IITH which will be a window to the external world for knowing about IITH’s R&D activities,” said U.B. Desai, director, IIT Hyderabad.Moreover, this will increase the visibility of the institution as an R&D destination and promote greater industry interaction, he added.
