IIT JAM Registrations 2018 begin at joaps.iitb.ac.in

The online registration process for JAM (Joint Admission Test) for MSc 2018 has begun on the official website. 

All the candidates need to apply for JAM only through JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) at joaps.iitb.ac.in

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay is the convener for the same. The last date for IIT JAM registration is October 10.

How to apply for IIT JAM 2018:

In order to apply for the same, all the candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Go to the official website, joaps.iitb.ac.in
  2. Log on with your enrollment number and password
  3. Enter all the required details in the space provided
  4. Complete the payment process
  5. Click to submit

"A candidate can apply for either one or two out of the seven JAM test papers subject to the restriction imposed by the Test Schedule given in the Information Brochure or JAM 2018 website. The choice of the appropriate test paper(s) is the responsibility of the candidate," the official IIT JAM 2018 website states.

Examination schedule:

The IIT JAM 2018 will be held in two shifts:

First phase: The first phase will comprise of Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG) and Mathematical Statistics (MS). The exam will be held from 9 am to 12 noon.

Second phase: This phase will comprise of Biological Sciences (BL), Mathematics (MA) and Physics (PH) and will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.

 Important dates:

Last date for online application submission and uploading of documents on the website: October 10

Last date for payment of application fee through online process: October 10

Date of JAM 2018 examination: February 11, 2018

Announcement of the results of JAM 2018: March 20, 2018

Submission of application form: April 3 to April 17

Closure of admissions through JAM 2018: July 5, 2018

It is conducted for taking admission into two-year Master of Science (MSc), joint MSc-Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), MSc PhD dual degree MSc-Master of Technology (MTech), MSc-MS (by research), other post-Bachelor's degree and PhD dual degree programmes at the IITs in Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kanpur, Jodhpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and Ropar and integrated PhD programmes at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
