Information on EAMCET application status via SMS

HYDERABAD: Candidates who have applied for EAMCET this year will get an SMS on the status of the application from March 16 when the last date for the submission of forms ends.

EAMCET Convenor N.V. Ramana Rao said that this is the first time that students and parents were being informed on the status of the application through SMS.

It will give them some confidence that their applications have reached the Convenor's office safely and are being processed. If the applications are missing they can trace them or at least students can apply again before the due date. Last year students received SMS on the examination centres allocated to them and it will continue this year too. Similarly, even results were sent through SMS to all the candidates.

Prof. Rao said the number of applications submitted in the medical stream so far is 30,000 odd while it is around 1.2 lakhs in the engineering stream.
