Inter Exams from Mar. 6, SSC Exams from Mar. 22

Secondary Education Minister K. Parthasarathy has announced the examination schedule for the SSC and Intermediate to be held in March, 2013. The Inter examinations will commence from March 6 and conclude on March 23 and the SSC exams will be held from March 22 to April 9, 2013.
Giving the details and time-table for the examinations, he told mediapersons that 9, 83, 418 students would appear for the first year Inter examination and 9,94,001 candidates would appear for the second year.
The jumbling system will come into force for practical examinations too this year and they will be held from February 6 to February 25. The supplementary examinations will be held soon after the announcement of Intermediate results, he added.
For SSC examination, 12, 64,000 candidates have registered so far and the number will go up as the last date for payment of examination fee is being extended till this month-end, Mr. Parthasathy added.
On recruitment of teachers under the DSC examination, the Minister said results were already announced and the appointment letters would be issued to all the selected candidates by December 17.
