Intermediate admissions schedule out

HYDERABAD : The Board of Intermediate Education on Thursday announced the admission schedule for Intermediate courses for the academic year 2011-12. However, the move invited criticism from the government junior college lecturers association, which alleged that the Board has announced the schedule in haste to protect the interests of corporate colleges.

As per the schedule announced by the BIE, the sale of applications will commence on May 26 and the due date to submit them to junior colleges is June 30.

The first phase of admissions will commence on June 1 and will end on June 30. The classes for first and second year students will begin from June 1. Principals were asked to give provisional admissions on the basis of SSC marks memo obtained from the Internet.

However, admissions will be confirmed only after the students submit the original SSC pass certificate and TC issued by the school where they studied last.
