JEE (Advanced) hall tickets to be available from May 18

MUMBAI: Admit cards for JEE (Advanced) will now be available from May 18. IIT-Bombay has once again postponed the schedule for downloading the admit cards for IIT aspirants.According to the original schedule, hall tickets were to be made available from May 11. The date was first pushed back to May 15. The revised schedule of May 18 was put up on their official website on Thursday. Around 1.2 lakh candidates have registered for JEE (Advanced) to be held on May 24.

A note on the website put up by IIT-B, the organizing IIT, stated: "This is a change of schedule from that mentioned in the information brochure. This change is because a significantly large number of candidates have not uploaded valid and legible documents such as photographs, signatures, certificates, etc."

Hall tickets can be downloaded from 10am on May 18 to 5pm on May 23. Rectification of discrepancies in admit cards can be done from May 18 to 20 till 5pm.

An official from the institute had earlier mentioned that the verification of documents is taking time to ensure that students who are not eligible have not applied. The Supreme Court recently removed the Jat community from the list of other backward classes. This year, only 1.2 lakh students registered for JEE (Advanced) of the 1.5 lakh eligible ones from the JEE (Main)
