JEE Advanced Counselling 2018: JoSAA releases first round seat allotment results

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the first round of seat allotment results for the year 2018. All the candidates who had appeared for the same can check their results on the official website, the link for which is josaa.nic.in. As per the schedule, the document verification and acceptance of seat in round 1 will be held from June 28 to July 2.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) started the online registration process for the counselling and seat allotment from June 15.

JoSAA 2018: How to check first round seat allotment results 2018

• Go to the official website of JoSAA, josaa.nic.in
• On the homepage, click on link 'Round 1: View Allotment Result and Pay Seat Acceptance Fee'
• Enter your roll number and password in the space provided
• On submitting the same, the allotment results will be displayed
• Download the same and take print out of it for future use

31,980 candidates qualified in JEE Advanced 2018

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur earlier released the extended merit list for JEE Advanced 2018 following the directions of HRD Ministry to issue a supplementary merit list for the exam.

• Seat allocation (Round 1): July 3
• Document verification and acceptance/withdrawal of seat by reporting at reporting centres (Round 2): July 4 to July 5
• Display of seats filled/availability status: July 6
• Seat allocation (Round 3): July 6
• Document verification and acceptance/withdrawal of seat by reporting at reporting centres (Round 3): July 7 to July 8

JEE Advanced 2018 results:

The JEE Advanced results 2018 were announced on June 10, 2018, on the official website, the link for which is jeeadv.nic.in.

• For the first time, JEE Advanced was held completely in the online mode
• Over 1,60,000 students appeared for the JEE Advanced exam this year
• This year, Pranav Goyal from Roorkee zone secured All India Rank 1 and is hence the JEE Advanced topper 2018
