The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018 official notification has been released on the official website, the link for which is jeeadv.ac.in
This year, the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2018 will be conducted by the IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2018.
Meanwhile, IIT Kanpur has launched the mock test for JEE (Advanced) 2018.

NUMBER OF CANDIDATES FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2018:
According to a statement released by IIT Kanpur, top 224,000 candidates will be chosen to appear for JEE (Advanced) next year based on the category-wise distribution of candidates released on the website.
It also said that the total number of candidates can be slightly greater than 2, 24,000 in the presence of "tied" ranks/scores in any category.
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
