JEE Main 2024 Application Form Soon: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on November 2 started the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024. The official JEE Main website – jeemain.nta.nic.in – has made the application link active.
Earlier, a source close to NTA told indianexpress.com that the application process is expected to begin towards the end of November 1 or November 2.
Students will be given a month to fill out their JEE application form, after which the city intimation slip will be made available a little in advance. This will be followed by the release of the admit card at the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in ) three days before the exam.
JEE Main 2024 Updated Syllabus
The NTA is also expected to release a notification on the updated syllabus for JEE Main 2024.
“Just like NEET UG 2024, we have deleted some small portions from JEE Main 2024 too. It will be made available to students along with the application form. This is in line with the changes made in the NCERT books,” the source added.
JEE Main 2024 exam date, number of sessions
Like the last time, the first session of JEE Main 2024 is scheduled to take place in January, followed by session 2 in April. While the first JEE Main 2024 session will be held between January 24 and February 1, the second session is set to be held from April 1 to April 15.
JEE Main is conducted for BE, BTech, BArch and BPlanning papers for admission to engineering and architecture programmes. The JEE Main question paper, going by past year trends, will have internal choices within the sections — mathematics, physics and chemistry. JEE Main question paper has 30 questions in each subject, divided into two sections.
The total number of JEE Main registrations went up to 11.62 lakh in 2023, of which 11.13 lakh candidates appeared in both sessions of the exam held on 13 dates between January 24 and April 15.
