JEE Main 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the JEE Main 2024 session 1 image correction window today. Candidates who want to make corrections to their image will be able to do so by logging in with their application number and password at the jeemain.nta.ac.in by today (January 6).
The window to make corrections in the image has been opened after the testing agency has observed that the photographs uploaded by the applicants are not as per the required specifications.
Therefore, NTA in an official statement said: “It has been decided to give an opportunity to candidates to upload the Photograph as per required specifications to avoid rejection of the application by opening the window to change their actual recent photograph on their respective online application forms as per schedule.”
The new image should have the following specifications:
– Passport size photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb). The recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background
– Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
– Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
The photographs need not be attested. Candidates are advised to keep six to eight passport-size colour photographs with white a background. Candidates may note that if the photographs uploaded are found to be fabricated i.e. deshaped or seem to be hand-made or computer-made, the application of the candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means and the candidate would be dealt with accordingly, NTA added.
Candidates will not be able to make changes in the other particulars in the JEE Main 2024 application form. The JEE Main 2024 application for the session started on November 1 and closed on December 4, 2023.
The JEE Main 2024 will be held in two sessions — January and April. Candidates will be intimated with the session 1 exam cities in the second week of January 2024. JEE Main session 1 exam will be held from January 24 to February 1. The JEE Main 2024 application for the second session will open on February 2 and close on March 2, 2024
