JEE Main 2024 Admit Card Live Updates: What is the official JEE website?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has changed the host website address for the JEE Main 2024. The new website is jeemain.nta.ac.in.
"Till now, NIC (National Informatics Centre) used to host the online application forms of the JEE Main. Now NTA has developed this new platform and is in the process of using its own server for activities related to hosting the online application forms, and generating the city intimation slip, admit card, and score card, etc," a senior official from NTA told indianexpress.com.

JEE Main 2024 Live Updates: Frisking and biometric attendance even after toilet breaks
Candidates appearing for engineering entrance exam JEE Main 2024 will have to undergo frisking and biometric attendance after toilet breaks as well, according to National Testing Agency (NTA) officials.
Officials, observers, staff members and even helps serving refreshments will have to undergo the same process, they said.
"The move is aimed at ensuring there are no cases of use of unfair means or proxy attendance. We have strict mechanisms in place already but the idea is to make the exam completely foolproof to ensure there are zero incidents," NTA Director Subodh Kumar Singh said.

JEE Main 2024: Check key differences between JEE Main and Advanced
After qualifying JEE Main, candidates can appear for JEE Advanced. It used to be the sole prerequisite for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology bachelor's programmes and is usually hosted by one of the IITs.
JEE Main JEE Advanced
JEE Main is the entrance exam for admission to the NITs, IIITs, and other central/state government funded institutes. It is also the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is for admission to the IITs, IISTs, and RGIPT.
The JEE Main exam is held twice a year. JEE Advanced is held once a year.
NTA (National Testing Agency) organises the JEE Main. The IIT Joint Admission Board (JAB) organises the JEE Advanced.
A candidate may take JEE Main for a maximum of three years. A candidate may take JEE Advanced for a maximum of two years.
The JEE Main Paper-1 is a 3-hr paper each for Paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech),
Paper-2A (B. Arch), Paper-2B (B. Planning). Here Paper-2A and 2B are Optional. The JEE Advanced is of 6 hours.
(Paper 1: 3 hours and Paper 2: 3 hours). Both Paper-1 & Paper-2 are compulsory.
JEE Main Paper-1 (for B.E./ B. Tech) consists of 90 questions (of which only 75 are to be answered). Marking scheme is +4 for every correct answer and Negative marking of -1 for an incorrect answer. Questions are multiple choice with single correct answer and Numerical Based Questions with Integer or decimal digit answers. The number of questions and the distribution of marks in the JEE Advanced exam is not fixed. Questions may be multiple choice single correct answer, Multiple choice multi correct answer, Integer Type Questions with answer either a single digit or correct to two decimal digits. Marking Scheme is not fixed. There may be partial marking in multi-choice multi correct answer type questions.
The question paper for the JEE Main is available in 13 languages -English, Hindi, Gujarati, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The JEE Advanced question paper is only available in English and Hindi.
The JEE Main Paper is divided into two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 (B. Tech/B.E.) is administered online (Computer Based Examination).
Paper 2 (B.Arch.) is available in online for Aptitude & Maths sections and offline mode (pen and paper-based examination) for drawing section.
Paper-2 (B. Planning) is administered online (Computer Based Examination). The JEE Advanced Exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The JEE Advanced exam is only available online (Computer Based Examination).

JEE Main 2024: Read about life of a BTech student in IIT Indore
The first time I appeared for JEE was in 2020 when I ranked among the top 26,000 rank holders. I opted for counselling at the IITs but in vain. I did, however, get admission at MNNIT Allahabad Civil Engineering Department. While I enrolled in their programme, I kept preparing for my next attempt at JEE as I was not ready to give up on my dream of IITs.
Since my classes at MNNIT Allahabad were held online amid the Covid and the lockdown associated with it, I was able to manage time and prepare for JEE, along with my BTech classes. I appeared for JEE again in 2021 and got around 15,000 rank. This time, I got a seat at IIT Indore’s Civil Engineering department and I left MNNIT Allahabad. I am now in my third year of BTech at IIT Indore.

JEE Main 2024 city intimation slip: IITs not to declare CTC anymore
In view of “pressure” on students during placement season, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are considering not disclosing the highest annual packages in their placement reports, focussing on mean and median salary figures instead, The Indian Express has learnt.

JEE Main 2024 city intimation slip: IIT-Bombay issues placement correction
Only 22 IIT-Bombay students have received Rs one crore plus offers in phase I of placement held in December. Last week, the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) announced that a total of 85 candidates had been offered salary packages greater than Rs 1 crore, which was much higher than the 25 such offers last year. However, the institute has today issued a correction.

JEE Main 2024 city intimation slip: When is session 2 registration beginning?
The registration for session 2 of JEE Main 2024 will begin on February 2 and candidates will have time till March 2, 2024 (9 pm) to fill the application form. The payment option will be available till 11:59 pm of March 2. The advance city intimation slip for session 2 will release by the third week of March 2024, and the admit cards will release three days before the exam. Session 2 exams will be conducted from April 1 till 15, 2024, and the result for session 2 will be declared on April 25, 2024.
