MH CET 2018: Exam dates released at mahacet.org

The Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has released the Common Entrance Test (MH CET) 2018 examination schedule for professional courses on the official website, the link for which is mahacet.org

Here's the detailed MHT CET 2018 exam schedule:

  • LLB (5 years): April 22
  • MAH Med: May 25
  • BP Ed/BP Ed field test: June 2 and 3
  • BEd and BEd- ELCT: June 9 and 10
  • BP Ed: June 1
  • M PEd/M PEd field test: June 12
  • LLB (3 years): June 17
  • BA - BEd/BSc BEd:  June 21
  • BEd-Med: June 21

Paper pattern:

In MH CET 2018, 20 per cent weightage will be given to class 11 curriculum and 80 per cent to class 12 curriculum

The test will have three papers -- Paper I (mathematics), Paper II (physics and chemistry) and Paper III (biology which will include botany and zoology)

There will be multiple choice questions in the exam

MH CET 2018: Questions to appear from Class 11 syllabus

From the year 2018, questions from Class 11 syllabus will appear in the Maharashtra (MH) State Common Entrance Test (CET).

As per an Indian Express report, it is yet to be decided that how weightage would be assigned to the Class 11 syllabus. The state higher and technical education department has declined the DTE's proposal to not include the Class 11 syllabus till 2019 as students appearing next year have already been promoted to Class 12.

About MH CET exam:

The MH CET exam is conducted to give admission to candidates to the full time undergraduate degree courses in engineering/technology (BE/BTech) and pharmacy (BPharm/Pharm D) in various recognised institutions in Maharashtra.
