PATNA — Candidates preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027 in Bihar can expect convenient access to testing facilities across the state. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is anticipated to designate 11 major cities in Bihar as official exam centers, providing thousands of engineering aspirants with accessible local centers.
Among the prominent cities expected to host the computer-based test (CBT) are Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, and Purnea. The decision aims to reduce long-distance travel and administrative burden for students residing in both urban and rural parts of Bihar.

The NTA will continue conducting JEE Main in two sessions:
Session 1: Scheduled for January
Session 2: Scheduled for April
Candidates can choose to attempt one or both sessions. For candidates appearing in both attempts, the best of the two NTA percentile scores will be considered for final merit ranking and cutoff determination.
During online application submission on the official NTA portal (jeemain.nta.nic.in), candidates can select up to four city preferences in order of priority. Cities are generally allocated based on the candidate's permanent or present address provided in the application form.
To ensure fairness and transparency, the NTA continues to implement biometric attendance, multi-layer frisking, live CCTV surveillance, and AI-based monitoring at all designated examination centers. Candidates are advised to check all guidelines mentioned on their admit cards ahead of the exam date.
