NEET PG Counselling 2018: Registration extended till March 26, how to apply

The registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG Counselling 2018 has been extended till March 26.

All the eligible candidates can apply for the first round of counselling for PG seats on the official website, mcc.nic.in

Meanwhile, Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) released the schedule for online counseling for Post Graduate seats (MD/ MS/ MDS) in February.

MCC will conduct counseling for 50 per cent all India quota seats for all State Government medical/dental colleges/institutes, except the state of Jammu and Kashmir as per merit of PG NEET 2018 and also for all PG seats of the Deemed Universities as per merit of PG NEET 2018.

The committee will also conduct counselling for 50 per cent institutional quota seats for Central Universities like Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, and Banaras Hindu University along with the PG counseling for institutes of Armed Forces Medical Services.

Andhra Pradesh and Telengana are participating in online counseling of all India Quota from the academic year 2018-19 onwards.

Meanwhile, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducted the NEET PG 2018 on January 7.

CUT OFF DETAILS OF THE NEET PG RESULTS 2018:

  • The eligibility criteria for the general category is 50th percentile and the cut off score out of 1200 is 321
  • The eligibility criteria for the SC/ST/OBC/SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH is 40th percentile and the cut off score out of 1200 is 281
  • The eligibility criteria for the unreserved category- PH is 45th percentile and the cut off score out of 1200 is 300

ABOUT NEET PG EXAM:

NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956. It is a single window entrance examination for PG courses. No other entrance examination, ever at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG diploma courses as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 w.e.f. 2017 admission session.
