NEET UG 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday issued a clarification regarding the medium of the question paper of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2023. The official notice is available at the NEET UG website – neet.nta.nic.in.
The NTA has clarified that the candidates opting for English would be provided with their test booklet in English only, and those who have opted for Hindi will be provided with a bilingual test booklet in English and Hindi. Similarly, candidates opting for regional languages would also be provided with a bilingual test booklet in selected regional languages and English.
It has also been clarified that the regional languages will be available only in specific exam centres. For example, Assamese will only be available in the examination centres in Assam, whereas Punjabi will be allowed in examination centres in Punjab, Chandigarh, and Delhi/New Delhi (including Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Meerut, Noida/Greater Noida).
Candidates should note that while English is available at all NEET UG 2023 exam centres, Hindi and Urdu are available only in the exam centres located in India.
Bengali is available in West Bengal, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Gujrati is available in Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Kannada is only available in Karnataka exam centres, Marathi only in Maharashtra and Odia only in Odisha.
