The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the re-revised National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 results after considering the correct answer for the controversial physics question. This year's cut-off in the re-revised result for the general category candidates has decreased from 720-164 in the June 4 result to 720-162. The all-India rank 1 is shared by 17 students. They have scored 99.9992714 percentile.
The NEET cut-off for MBBS and BDS for medical aspirants belonging to the General category is 50th, for OBC, SC and ST candidates, it is 40th. The NTA determines the NEET UG percentile on the basis of the highest marks scored in the all-India common merit list in NEET UG 2024.
NEET UG Cut-off 2024
This year, as many as 24,06,079 students had registered for the medical entrance test and of them, 23,33,162 appeared. The total number of medical aspirants who qualified for the entrance test is 13,15,853. As per data shared by the NTA on July 26, of the total qualified students, as many as 5,46,566 are male students, 7,69,277 are female students and 10 are transgender students.
With the announcement of the NEET UG 2024 re-revised result, the all-India quota (AIQ) seat counselling date for NEET UG 2024 will likely be announced soon. The counselling committees – Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) are yet to announce an update on the NEET counselling 2024 dates.
