NEET UG 2025: Application deadline tomorrow; NTA sends reminder

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is closing the application window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) on March 7. The NEET UG application started on February 7. The official website to register for NEET UG is neet.nta.nic.in. This is the second time NTA is sending a reminder to fill out the NEET UG application form before the deadline.

An NTA statement issued in this regard said: “The registration process for NEET UG 2025 commenced on February 7, 2025, and will close on March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM. Candidates are advised to complete the process at the earliest to avoid any last-minute difficulties.”

NEET UG is the sole exam in India to shortlist candidates for UG medical and allied courses. Over 20 lakh students have been registering for the exam for the last two years. In 2024, as many as 24,06,079 candidates registered for NEET UG, while in 2023, it was 20,87,462. In 2022, 2021, 2020, and 2019, the number of registered candidates in NEET-UG is 18,72,343, 16,14,777, 15,97,435 and 15,19,375, respectively.
NTA has also set up helpdesks for further clarification related to NEET UG 2025. Candidates can contact the helpdesk in person, at 011-40759000/011-69227700, or by email at neetug2025@nta.ac.in.

While filling up the NEET UG 2025 online application form, candidates will have to select three cities as their choice of cities for the exam centre in order of their priority. Choice of centre cities will be limited to the state of permanent address or state of present address only. For convenience, the candidates may select their city or neighbouring cities in their state of residence only and not for faraway cities in other states.
