NEET UG 2024: A total of three medical colleges from Odisha have been ranked in the Education Ministry’s National Institutional Ranking Framework 2023. Bhubaneshwar’s Siksha `O` Anusandhan is the top medical college in the state and was ranked in the 16th position at the NIRF 2023.
AIIMS Bhubaneswar and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology have been placed in the 17th and 26th ranks in the NIRF 2023.
The Siksha `O` Anusandhan in NIRF 2022 was ranked at the 18th position in the list of medical colleges in the state. The rank of AIIMS Bhubaneshwar has also risen from 26th position in 2022 to 17th in NIRF 2023 medical college rankings.
However, the SCB Medical College and Hospital which ranked 44th in NIRF 2022, could not rank in the Education Ministry’s list of top medical colleges in NIRF 2023. It scored 49.02 in the NIRF 2022 rankings.

The SCB Medical College and Hospital has seen a drop in rankings from 39th in NIRF 2021 to 44th in NIRF 2022. Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan has seen an improvement in the NIRF rankings from 2020 to 2023. It ranked 23rd in NIRF 2020 but managed to rank 16th in NIRF 2023.
Siksha `O` Anusandhan and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology have also been ranked in the list of top universities in Dental studies in Odisha among the list of top dental colleges in NIRF 2023. Two universities have been placed in the NIRF rankings from 2020 to 2023 in dental from Odisha.

The rankings of Siksha `O` Anusandhan have improved from 10th in NIRF 2022 to 9th in 2023. The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology has also improved from 26th in 2022 to 20th in 2023. In NIRF 2020 and NIRF 2019, the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology ranked 17th.
