The student participation for the JAC Class 12 examinations has seen a notable shift across different streams when comparing the 2025 actual data with the 2026 projections. In 2025, a total of 3,47,922 students appeared for the exams, with the Arts stream making up the largest portion at 2,27,222 candidates, followed by 98,634 in Science and 22,066 in Commerce.
For the 2026 academic cycle, total registrations are estimated at over 3,30,000. While the Science and Commerce streams are expected to see slight growth—rising to approximately 1,00,000 and 24,000 students respectively—the Arts stream is projected to see a decrease to around 2,06,000 candidates.
