CBSE Board Class 10, 12 Result 2023: Students from the Pune region have outperformed the national average in the CBSE Class 10 board exams with a pass percentage of 96.92, compared to the national average of 93.12%. In the results declared on Friday, the region ranked fifth out of 16 regions across the country.
The exams were held from mid-February this year, with some schools seeing their first batch of Class 10 attempting the board exams.
SPM Public English Medium School, which had its first batch of 65 students, recorded a 100% pass percentage. The school’s principal, Dr. Aparna Morris, said, “The school put in a meticulous plan since last year and drew up a timetable wherein every subject would be taught in a planned manner which would benefit all the students with varied achievement levels. Regular practice worksheets, small unit-wise tests, surprise tests, remedial teaching, counseling wherever required, and relaxing technique workshops were arranged. Parents were also counselled at the beginning of Class 10.”
At City International School, Kothrud, principal Padmaja Chavli said that her students had performed extremely well, with 35 out of 127 scoring more than 90 per cent. Rupak Ambekar earned the top spot in Class 10 with 97.8 per cent, followed by Mohit Kulkarni and Bhargavi Deo scoring 96.4 per cent each.
