Recruitment test for VRA, VRO postponed to Feb. 19

The written test for recruitment of village revenue officers (VRO) and village revenue assistants (VRA), originally scheduled for February 12, has been postponed to February 19 ( Sunday).

The test will be conducted in the morning for candidates seeking VRO posts and in the evening the same day for those opting for VRA posts. The government has taken the decision for postponement as the four-day Sammakka Saralamma Jatara will take place at Medaram in Warangal district on February 8,9,10 and 11, leaving no time for the candidates, particularly those belonging to Telangana region, for preparation, Revenue Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy told The Hindu .

Owing to the postponement, the district Collectors did not issue the necessary notification for the recruitment process on Monday as scheduled and are likely to do it on Tuesday, indicating a new schedule
