Remove website pages sharing CAT questions

The organizers of the Common Admission Test (CAT) for management aspirants have written to a couple of online networking sites, requesting them to remove pages where students are sharing questions asked in the test. However, officials claim that it is difficult to book the offenders even if the questions are 'disclosed' on any online forum.

A few students have complained to the organizers that some of the questions asked in the previous sessions are being posted online. Since, CAT is conducted over a period of 20 days, with different sets of question papers; there are chances of some questions being repeated.

But CAT-2013 convenor Rohit Kapoor said it will take some time to find out if the questions were indeed shared. "We have alerted Prometric (the agency administering the online test) and have asked them to find out if the questions discussed online were asked in the test. We were given a couple of site names and we are in talks with them. We will conduct internal checks before initiating any action," said Kapoor.

However, a Prometric spokesperson claimed that non-disclosure agreements are managed by IIMs with their full support. Violation of the agreement attracts a jail term or aN Rs 2 lakh fine. However, such a punishment has never been initiated.
