SAT 2024: Exam on August 24; registration underway

Conducted by the College Board, the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) will undertake its August session examination on August 24. The registration for the same has already been started. SAT is important for students who want to be admitted in undergraduate courses primarily in colleges in the United States and Canada.

Students who want to appear for the August 24 SAT exam will have to register till August 9. Interested candidates can make changes, regular cancellations, and late registration till August 13. The registration fee is USD 68 (approx Rs 5,692). A regional fee of USD 43 will also be applied for the students.

In case of late registration, students will need to pay USD 34, for test center change they will need to pay USD 29 and to cancel the registration interested candidates will have to pay USD 29.

The College Board announces the dates for the future examination prior. After the August 24 exam, the next SAT 2024 will be conducted on October 5, followed by November 2, December 7, March 8, 2025, May 3 and June 7. Registration for all the dates has commenced and students according to their qualifications and eligibility can appear for the SAT.

SAT 2024 exam will consist of math, reading, writing, and language tests. The SAT score ranges from 400-1600 and any score above the average score is acceptable for admission to many colleges and universities.
