Status quo over tech students

Hyderabad: Telangana state advocate-general K. Ramakrishna Reddy on Friday assured the Hyderabad High Court that the JNTU of Hyderabad would not re-allocate students of engineering colleges whose affiliation for the present academic year into first year engineering was sought to be withdrawn
Justice Vilas Afzulpurkar was dealing with a batch of writ petitions by Aurora College of Technology, St. Mary’s Engineering College, Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering and Technology and others challenging the rejection of affiliations to their colleges by JNTU.

The petitioners alleged that JNTU authorities are taking steps to transfer the students admitted in their institutions to other institutions and authorities also instructed the Eamcet Convener to keep admission process open so that students can be transferred to other institutions When the judge pointed out about the allegation of the petitioners, the AG replied that there will not be any such move regarding petitioners colleges.
