Students asked to collect EAMCET hall-tickets

VIZIANAGARAM: Students, who are appearing for EAMCET-2011, must collect their hall-tickets from M.V.G.R. College of Engineering before May 2 or else they would be dispatched on the following day to individuals through post offices, K.V.L. Raju, regional coordinator of EAMCET, said in a release.

Those, who wish to collect the hall-tickets during the stipulated period, must produce acknowledgement cards at the college counter.

He said EAMCET applications could be submitted till May 7 with a late fee of Rs. 5,000 and from May 8 to 19 with a late fee of Rs.10000 to the Convenor, EAMCET-2011, Administrative Building, Kukatpalli, Hyderabad- 500085.

House burgled

Thieves entered the house (LIG-29) of one M. Malleswari in Vivekananda Colony in the town and decamped with eight tolas of gold ornaments, 2.5kg of silver and Rs. 15000 cash. The incident came to light when the inmates returned home from Pendurthi in Visakhapatnam on Monday, according to the police.

Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati told correspondents that additional police forces were being deployed for patrolling during summer vacations and suspected involvement of habitual offenders from neighbouring districts.

Already some of them were identified and they would be nabbed soon, he said and asked people to inform him about suspects or lodge complaints during ‘Dial Your SP' programme on every Monday.
